팽창흑연 복합재료의 난연성능과 열적특성에 관한 연구

Study of the Fire Retardant Performance and Thermal Characteristics of Expandable Graphite Composite Materials

본 연구는 가연성 목재에 팽창흑연(Expandable graphite)을 첨가하여 팽창흑연 복합재료를 제조하고 실험을 실시하여 팽창흑연이 난연성능에 미치는 영향 발생으로 방화성능이 개선된 건축 내장재의 개발을 목표로 한다. 실험은 목분을 기본으로 하여 팽창흑연 함유량을 30 wt% 까지 순차적으로 증가시켜 시료를 제작한 다음 Cone calorimeter 실험을 실시하여 Expansion rate, Heat release rate (HRR), Total heat release (THR), Mass loss rate, Thermal conductivity (k), Thermal resistance 등을 측정하고 분석함으로서 팽창흑연의 첨가량 증가에 따른 난연 특성을 고찰하고 SEM 분석을 통한 팽창흑연의 조직 구조를 파악함으로서 팽창흑연 복합재료에 대한 난연성능과 열적특성에 대하여 규명하였다.
The aim of this study was to improve the effectiveness of expandable graphite composites by adding flammable graphite composites to a combustible charcoal composite material. The flame retardant properties and thermal properties were examined according to the content of expandable graphite. The fire retardant performance and thermal characteristics were clarified by correlating the structural characteristics of expanded graphite determined by SEM with the expansion rate, heat release rate (HRR), total heat release (THR), mass loss rate (MLR), thermal conductivity (k), and thermal resistance through Cone calorimetry, after preparing specimens with an increasing content of expandable graphite to 30 wt% in a wood particle base.
